‘It takes a village to raise a child’
There is a fair bit of truth in that oft-used expresion. A Naming ceremony is one way to welcome a precious child into ‘the village’. It brings the family and friends together to celebrate the awesome and precious gift of your child, no matter what age they may be.
There are unlimited ways that you can conduct a Naming ceremony and I would welcome the opportunity to assist you in planning and delivering a memorable ceremony for your precious child and your family and friends.
It is a unique way of declaring your hopes and dreams for your child’s future and affirming that you, as a family unit, believe and value. You decide how large or small; how formal or informal; what rituals, symbolism, readings and poems you would like included. You might consider a sand ceremony; or perhaps a candle ceremony.
